The festival is bringing Marusya Shuvalova, a young Ukrainian filmmaker, and her family to Los Angeles and San Diego to screen her two fantastic short documentary films about life as a child during wartime. The family arrives Aug. 26 and Marusya will be present for the Aug. 31 screening of her two short films at the San Diego Central Library downtown. Marusya will also make school appearances and have filmmaker learning experiences with industry professionals. We still need some more help to pay for on-the-ground expenses. Please help us support this brave and talented young filmmaker!
