San Diego International Children's Film Festival

July-August 2024

 

The 20th San Diego International Children's Film Festival opens July 28 at Comic-Con International, then repeats the program at the Neil Morgan Auditorium at the San Diego Central Library downtown in a full day of free screenings on Aug. 31.

Short films from around the world - animation, live-action, and documentary - plus filmmaker appearances. Special showcase collections from our most celebrated filmmakers of the past 20 years.

The festival is fundraising to bring Marusya Shuvalova, a young Ukrainian filmmaker, and her family to Los Angeles and San Diego to screen her two fantastic short documentary films about life as a child during wartime. Marusya will also make school appearances and have filmmaker learning experiences with industry professionals.
